We had a new patio door installed by Doug's team, and they were very professional, friendly and efficient in getting the job done quickly.
We have a transom window above our patio door, which after getting 2 quotes from different door manufacturers, they both stated that I would have to replace the transom as part of the new installation, which escalated the price considerably. I then contacted Doug for a quotation, and he advised me that there was no need to replace the transom at all, which saved us hundreds of dollars.
They completed the job today and we are very pleased with the quality of workmanship and product.

We had an upstairs window replaced. It was explained and shown to us why the original window brought the way it did. The replacement was seamless, the tech./installer was professional (covered his work boots up). We also has a sliding glass door replaced. Both tech./installers were professional, work was clean, they finished off the installation with expert caulking. We were very pleased with the whole process, from the sales representative, the office, to the tech./installers.

Doug and his crew were in and out in 1 day. Doug's lead time on when the job would be done was almost spot on. They left the premises extremely neat inside and out. The screen door installed was of excellent quality and not some cheap bottom of the line door. Doug did not try and upsell me. He explained the single hung windows were probably more energy efficient than double or triple. All in all I'm extremely satisfied.
Now the wind will have to around the house instead of through it.

We recently had replacement windows installed in the upper level of our home and were very impressed by the speed and efficiency of the work crew. The job was executed on one of the hottest days of the summer. The workers took precautions to protect our flooring and ensured that the entire area, inside and out, was clean before leaving. While we did experience a small problem with the caulking on one of the windows, the response from co-owner Doug Bartmann was immediate. I recently had two windows installed, one where there had only been brick wall, and I'm extremely happy with the workmanship and product provided by White Elm. They accommodated my schedule for the installation date, arrived on time, protected my floors, the installation was done neat and professional, they were done in the time they had estimated, cleaned up when they were finished and the price was in accordance to my quote! I'd certainly recommend White Elm, it's hard to find such a good contractor, and they will get my business again next time. we met the company at a homeshow and were impressed by their knowledge and that the owners were there and actually did the work also. The door and windows look great. They were prompt and extremely efficient and you hardly knew that they were in the house. They left everything clean and removed all of the garbage. Our neighbours had work done by someone else and their place was a mess after everything was finished. It was time to replace the 15 year old windows and the back door on our home. The estimate was arranged and completed on time and arrangements were made to suit my schedule for the work. The crew arrived as promised and wasted no time remvoving the old, and installing the new. The house was left clean each evening, and work was completed well within the expected time frame. The crew took two day and installed all 13 windows within two days. They showed up on time, didn't leave any mess and very polite. Overall great experience.

Doug and the men who work for him were very efficient, considerate and knowledgeale about what they were doing.
They phoned ahead to make sure the timeing was good for me, they arrived at the time they said they would come, and were very efficient in breaking into teams to do their jobs.
When they were finished they cleaned up and took away any garbage.
I have and would recommend them for anything people need doing.

White Elm Contracting recently completed a complete Basement renovation for us and we are very pleased. The quality was excellent. They left the house clean every night and were first to put down drop clothes every morning!! They did it all from flooring, plumbing, drywalling and electrical to installing light fixtures and backsplash. They also had some great design suggestions as we moved through the process that made the space even better. Very happy with them and will use them again for sure....and quick to complete.
