Lanyard Stables, Kelowna Reviews (7)
We travelled from The Coast to view a horse for sale at Lanyard Stables .The owner was unprofessional, unprepared, difficult to communicate with prior to and after. She couldn't keep the horses history straight. The owner falsely advertised pictures with three year old videos, and priced the horse as a specific breed cross with zero proof of dam or sire. The horse performed way less than described. We verbally agreed to a deposit to hold the horse until I could find a vet to examine the horse over the phone (as the vets were all in Vegas at a conference in the Kelowna area that week) , we did not agree or settle on price mutually, nor did I sign anything binding. When I attempted to negotiate via email and over the phone eventually (after ignoring me for almost a week) she refused to negotiate at all and kept our deposit when I refused to commit to paying the full asking price. I will never ever deal with this Stable again.
Very nice property and horses in a nice location. Horses are heathly and well cared for. Really amazing trainer and riders. Staff is friendly and hard working. Good indoor\outdoor arenas but there aren't any water heaters for winter. Lots of turnout, paddocks, stalls. Nice barn, 2 tackrooms, bathroom, washstall, grooming stalls, feedroom. Sometimes seems a bit dirty\muddy but is overall great.
Great trainer and horses. Everyone's really nice.
Saff Tries best but place is Run-Down in some ways in others it is alright but the board rates are way too much to pay for wat u are actually paying for. Some of the classes in the shows seem fixed and the Equitaion dosent seem to be judged on the ride. But on the other hand it is very organised. Sometimes though, it seems there are too many horses on that size of a property.
i have to say this is one of the nicest barns/training facilities i have ever been to! the people are nice the staff are very comitted and hard working, also is very well kept and horses are always fed and well cared for. with paddocks and 5 fieds for turnout, 2 grass fields for rotaional grazing. Also every water is heated. They have an amazing and understanding 2nd level trainer. I would recomend Lanyard stables for Training, Boarrding, etc.
Nice people who try their hardest to make everyone happy. A bit run down and grundgy but a good outdoor and indoor ring.
Lots of horses most are very friendly and want to be entertained.

Nice indoor and outdoor. nice large stalls. No heated water though which seems difficult in the winter. Smaller paddocks with shelters available and several small fields for rotational turnout but everything always seems either muddy or just dirt. Always looks like there is someone repairing fences from horses being just too bored. Biggest problem here is that there are just too many horses on the 5 acres of this facility and things seem a bit rundown.
