Founded May 1st, 1908, Hydro-Sherbrooke is the electricity provider for the city of Sherbrooke. Although at the beginning they had they own dams, which are still up into a river which crosses through downtown but are no more operational, they now distribute electricity produced by Hydro-Quebec, an electricity company that covers the entire province of Quebec.
