Red Barn Market, Victoria Reviews (3)
Driving by the Red Barn forever. Shopping there regularly for the last couple of years. Resented the fact that the parking lot was so full that I couldn't just pull in, but happy at their success. Surprise no longer are there line ups at the till. Could it be the change to irrelevant merchandise for the perponderence of junk food or the blister packed firewood? get a grip guys this is a country market we buy our firewood by the cord and if we wanted junk food we would go to seven eleven. You bought a thriving business. why a you screwing it up?
As a person with inside knowledge I agree with you.I feel and know that the staff AND customers have built that bussiness for the past 10 years or more. When the new owners took over they treated it as though they were buying a "broken store" run by idiot staff and sucker customers. So far from the truth. They said they weren't going to change anything, but that is all they have done.Maybe when they first took over they should have learned about the Red Barn and the full day to day happenings. No these guys came in with their THRIFTY FLAGS flying.Maybe they aren't smart enough to learn something new.The customers are just paying for the barn again, and that sucks! the staff have lost finacial perks like perfomace bonus and profit sharing and manager positions(demotions) so Thrifty staff can have them. Iknow for a fact they do not support local they support their "friends" and suppliers with "Perks" Its too bad because it was a fabulous place to shop but now its lost its Touch!! If we wanted Thriftys we would go to Thriftys we are NOT idiots!Stick that in your pipe you selfcentered pricks
We recently shopped at the Red Barn and were disappointed with the quality of the produce. Prices were okay but I will pay more for quality. We had been very satisfied with the Red barn in the past. Perhaps the new owners are cutting corners.
The more corners they cut, just means more $$$$ in their pockets. they will continue to take from customers and staff. The best thing you can do is complain to the owners or management (not that they take you serious). One common quote is "its OK to loose a few" when a year ago we didn't want to loose one customer!Red Barn Blows:o
The full parking lot says it all about the popularity of the Red Barn.
The prices on their produce are are much better that the supermarkets. The selection is better. The staff are happy, and it shows.
