Sapphire Contracting

I hired Guermin and Sapphire contracting to build a shed in my backyard. I sent them a $5000.00 deposit to retain their services. After months of delays and ignored emails and phone calls I became concerned that I had perhaps hired the wrong company. When the city informed me that the shed I was building was located directly on top of my septic tank I attempted to find out how this could be possible as Guerman had assured me he had hired a company to do all the required locates. I do not believe it was ever done. After chasing Guerman for a further 5 days trying to get an answer why the shed was being built on top of the septic tank - as well as trying to get answers regarding some other permit questions - I decided to pull the plug on the project when I simply could not get answers to my simple questions. Guerman did not have the courage or decency to contact me directly however someone got back to me almost immediately once I advised them that I was not moving forward with the project. Funny how that works...I asked them to bill me for the plans that were produced and refund me for the difference. Complete silence. No response to emails or phone calls. This company - and Guerman individually - stole $5000 dollars from me and I am currently in the process of suing them. I am attempting to get the OPP to lay criminal charges against Guerman and Sapphire for theft and it seems that charges will in fact be laid. nnPlease do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs.
